Transform Holiday Lighting for Halloween

Fall is finally here! October kicks off the holiday season with Halloween. It’s a great opportunity to bring some color and holiday cheer to your home. Make your Halloween even more spooktacular with these fun crafts!

Fall Tree

What you need:

  • A tomato cage
  • 2-3 zip ties
  • 1 strand of Christmas lights
  • A few plastic leaf garland/small sprigs of leaves

Steps

  1. Trim off the bottom to your ideal height.
  2. Gather the top together to make it look like a tree and secured them with the zip ties.
  3. Wrap the tree in the lights. Secure with zip ties.
  4. Wrap the leaf garland over the lights. Secure with zip ties. DONE!

Water Jug Lanterns

What you need:

  • Milk or water jugs
  • Black sharpie
  • Craft knife
  • String of 50 clear holiday lights or more

Steps

  1. Draw ghost eyes and a mouth on the jug.
  2. Cut a half-dollar-size hole in the back of each jug.
  3. Arrange jugs next to each other. Then stuff bulbs in each jug. Done!

Glow in the Dark Eyes

What you need:

  • Toilet paper rolls
  • Scissors
  • Glow sticks
  • Duct tape

Steps

  1. Cut eye shapes in the roll.
  2. Put in glow stick.
  3. Duct tape the sides of the roll.
  4. Place around room or bushes. Done!
